Duck Pond wines are known for their Pinot Gris, as well as their ‘Clean Label’ certification meaning they are sustainable and organic. From Oregon, their wines are free from harmful glyphosate and neonicotinoid pesticides.

This wouldn’t mean much of course if their vino wasn’t tasty, but after much testing (someone had to do it) we can attest that we’re a fan.

PR sent us a bottle of the Pino Gris, which, unlike many others, wasn’t watery but had a complex, refreshing taste, able to hold its own with most foods. We liked it so much that we went out and bought the Chardonnay (both are a very reasonable $16 a bottle.) To find out where to get Duck Pond in your area just input your area code on this page.

Paired with some cheese and crackers, the Chardonnay has a crisp clean taste with a lovely mineral finish.

It doesn’t hurt that the label is ‘fancy’ as one of our friends called it, perfect for gifting. Be the one to bring the terrific new wine find at the next dinner party.
