After the esteemed Dr. Fauci testified before the Senate about the coronavirus and the threat of opening the country too soon, an incensed Paul Rand (R) criticized the doc, saying:

‘As much as I respect you, Dr. Fauci, I don’t think you’re the end all – I don’t think you’re the one person who gets to make a decision,’ Paul said during his five minutes to question the infectious disease expert.

This happened after Fauci called Republican Senator Rand Paul comments on reopening schools ‘cavalier.’ Rand nonchalantly said schools might reopen this fall because of the ‘low mortality’ rate in children from the coronavirus. (There is no truth in any part of that sentence. )

That’s when Liz Cheney (R) stepped in to defend Fauci, calling him the nation’s ‘finest public servants’ and emphasizing that he is non-partisan.

But Dr. Fauci himself had the best comeback:

‘First of all Senator Paul, and thank you for your comments, I have never made myself out to be the end-all and only voice in this. I’m a scientist, physician and public health official. I give advice according to the best scientific evidence,’ Fauci said.

‘I don’t give advice on economic things. I don’t give advice on anything other than public health.’

Excuse me while I go look for my ‘Team Fauci’ t-shirt.

Paul Rand.
