Ouch! On Sunday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders reiterated that Trump was not going to release the last 10 years of tax returns, saying that members of Congress are not ‘smart enough’ to read them.
‘I don’t think Congress – particularly not this group of congressmen and women – are smart enough to look through the thousands of pages I would assume that President Trump’s taxes will be. My guess is most of them don’t do their own taxes. And I certainly don’t trust them to look through the decades of success that the president has and determine anything,’ she said on ‘Fox News Sunday.’
As the Dems push for the release, Trump and co. have dug in their heels. If, as Trump maintains, he has nothing to hide, what are they so afraid of?
