It was a sight to behold.

In Egypt, a procession of floats carrying the mummified remains of 22 pharaohs, including Egypt’s most powerful ancient queen, wound its way through Cairo on Saturday evening, in specialized designed vehicles made to minimize vibration.

The event was broadcast live on state television and included a  military band, a 21-gun salute as the parade of mummies made its way to the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

It is hoped that all this fanfare will also bring tourists back to Egypt.
