Florida Gov Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency as Dorian was upgraded from a tropical storm to a hurricane and is predicted to make landfall late Sunday or early Monday morning.
Warning that this could be the biggest hurricane to hit Central Floria in over 30 years, residents are advised to start planning immediately.
