As you probably already saw, Google folded like a deck of cards after Trump demanded they change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

But MapQuest, who pioneeered internet mapping, refused his order…and it’s paying off.
Now the company is ahead of rivals Google Maps and Apple Maps to top the most-downloaded list.

Recent polls show Trump’s efforts at renaming the lake are deeply unfavorable, with only 14% of Americans approving of his decision.
The same survey found only slightly more, 20%, approved of higher tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on Canadian goods, with 57% opposed.

Meanwhile, Apple has not made a decision on changing its maps, though they are being pressured by the White House.
