The Manhattan District Attorney’s office announced it is subpoenaing conservative Trump ally Steve Bannon’s financial records for the crowd-funded border wall effort pushed by the former President.
Though Trump pardoned Bannon in January, for federal conspiracy crimes, this does not protect Trump’s chief strategist from State and civil prosecution.
The DA is looking into fraud charges related to the ‘We Build The Wall’ funds. They allege that Bannon and three other men defrauded donors, funneling the $25 Million into their own pockets.
