Playacting as Marilyn Monroe is nothing new to Madonna — remember the ‘Material Girl’ video?
This time the 63-year old Madonna vogues for V magazine, saying it was ‘inspired; by the final photoshoot of the screen icon by photographer Bert Stern, just six weeks before her untimely death.
“We were not interested in recreating the images exactly but more importantly, we wanted to explore the relationship between photographer and subject. Both the friendship and the artistic process, and how art can imitate life and vice versa,” photographer (and longtime Madge collaborator) Steven Klein said in a press release.
And as always the case, the singer from an opportunity to bare her bottom, which apparently she’s very proud of.
