On Tuesday, Lady Gaga hand-delivered pizza to a Red Cross evacuation center at Pacific Palisades High School in Los Angeles, delighting and raising the morale and the displaced who were sheltering at the center.

The Born This Way singer told the crowd: ‘I extend my love … I know we do not know each other, but I love you. This is an emergency, but you are not alone.’

Gaga spent an hour and a half at the shelter, taking photos, handing out gift cards and even sang to a 98-year-old woman who had been evacuated.

Encouraging everyone to see the mental health workers who staff most Red Cross shelters she urged: ‘share your stories and talk to each other during this time.’

Even as the star herself was evacuated, she found time to help others. Luckily, it appears her Malibu home may have survived the flames.
