JUST IN: Did Trump Just Agree to Reopen The Government?

According to the New York Times, Trump just agreed to reopen the government, on the condition that negotiations for his border wall continue in the meantime. Most pundits did not expect the President to back down after he had staked his entire presidency on this one issue.

Congress will immediately to pass a spending bill so over 800,000 Federal workers will get paid — until February 15th.

What happens on the second of Feb? Trump indicated that if he hasn’t seen some money for his precious wall he could shut down the government again, or more likely, bypass Congress, declare a national emergency and pull the 15 million from other sources to pay for the Southern wall.
