Actor Jussie Smollett just pleaded not guilty to 16 felony counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police about being attacked so now the case will go to trial. IF convicted, Smollett could face up to 48 years behind bars.
Since the two brothers he bribed to fake an attack on him are cooperating with the police, we’re not sure what the ‘Empire” actors defense could possibly be.
