Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp — which are all owned by the FB group — have been down for hours (and are still down as we write.)

While not commenting on the cause of the outage, FB apologized for the inconvenience.

Coincidentally, the sites crashed the morning after “60 Minutes” aired a segment in which Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen claimed the company is aware of how its platforms are ‘used to spread hate, violence and misinformation, and that Facebook has tried to hide that evidence. Facebook has pushed back on those claims.

A very bad, very terrible day for Facebook.
