Some good news this morning.

The Israeli military announced they had rescued Kaid Farhan al-Qadi, 52, from Gaza after he was captured on October 7th.

He was rescued from an underground tunnel in Gaza.

Saying the operation was ‘complex,’ the military didn’t offer any more details out of concern for other hostages.

Kaid Farhan al-Qadi spent 326 days in captivity in Gaza before Israeli troops rescued him.

Kaid al-Qadi “is fully conscious and in good overall condition,” a spokesperson for the Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva in Israel said. He and a relative reunited with “great emotion” inside the hospital, the statement said.

The prime minister Netanyahu told Qadi that “all of the people of Israel are excited about his release,” the statement said.
