According to the UN, the death toll in Israeli Palestine is over 1,600 on both sides, including about 900 in Israel and more than 680 in Gaza, home to 2.3 million Palestinians.

Thousands more have also been injured, and more than 123,000 people have been displaced in Gaza.

Here are a few vetted charities that are helping the victims of this horrific war.

International Committee of the Red Cross

The International Red Cross is always a good bet.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)  has been active in Israel and the occupied territories since 1967. The organization is asking for donations to improve access to essential services like water and to support livelihood projects.

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders is another great choice. It describes itself as an “independent, impartial and neutral” charity that ‘provides humanitarian aid to people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, and natural and human-made disasters.’

The organization reports overcrowding and supply shortages, including medical supplies, drugs, and power for generators, in Gaza. With ambulances also hit by airstrikes, transport has become a huge issue as well.
