As part of the cease-fire negotiations with Israel, Hamas must turn over 40 Israeli hostages but the terror group has indicated that it can’t ‘track down’ that many hostages, leading many to think that more of the victims are dead than previously thought.

The carefully negotiated deal states that Hamas should release 40 of the remaining hostages, including all the women as well as sick and elderly men, in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Hamas has tried to argue that in order to track down the hostages who are spread out in Gaza, they need a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government believes that of the 129 hostages from the October 7 attack currently held, 33 are dead.
