The news is still bad out of California where the most destructive fires in the State’s history continue to claim lives. The death toll from the Camp Fire in Northern California rose to 42, as the remains of 13 more people were found. With two people killed in Southern California’s Woolsey Fire, the statewide death toll stands at 44.

Firefighters warn that with about 100 people still missing, the death toll could rise. Under a red flag warning due to the warm Santa Ana winds, exhausted firefighters continue on the front lines.
