Pedro Arredondo, who was the incident commander during the horrific school shooting in Uvalde Texas, has not been cooperating with authorities.

After many conflicting reports, it was determined that Arredondo made the  “wrong decision” by delaying the storming of the classroom until federal agents arrived. Even with anguished calls from children still coming in begging for help, this police chief kept all local police and responding Border patrol guards outside for up to an hour.

It was only when an off-duty Border Patrol tactical agent had arrived outside the classroom where the school police officers had been waiting an hour and “basically said let’s get this done” that they stormed in and killed the gunman.

CNN’s Shimon Prokupecz confronted Pedro “Pete” Arredondo. Hear his response.
