Who wouldn’t want to wake up with adorable Red Pandas bouncing on their bed?

However, Lehe Ledu Liangjiang Holiday Hotel, a popular family resort in China, has been ordered by the local forestry bureau to stop over concerns for animal rights and safety.

The service involves bringing one of the hotel’s red pandas up to a guest’s bedroom in the morning, allowing the panda to roam freely around the room and climb onto the bed.

In a video on the hotel website, a red panda climbs a tree in the courtyard to meet a staff member who guides them to the guest’s room who has apple chunks ready for the little creature.

Staff at the hotel explained that four red pandas are kept onsite and take turns participating in the wake-up call room visits.

Where did they get these red pandas? The hotel explains that they are borrowed from a zoo, are up on all their vaccinations and have a dedicated staff taking care of them.

Still, red pandas are a nationally protected wild species, and experts say they are naturally sensitive animals and shouldn’t be forced to interact with hotel guests.
