In the civil fraud case in New York, Judge Engoron found Trump guilty; ordered him to pay $355 million, and barred him from doing business in the city for three years. This stems from Trump inflating the value of his properties — or deflating them when it came to paying taxes.
As well, Trump routinely overstated his net worth by billions of dollars.
This punishment also applies to the former president’s adult sons for two years, who were ordered to pay more than $4 million each.
The judge said the former president’s “complete lack of contrition” bordered on pathological.
