There’s another audio recording of a phone call of former President Donald Trump pressuring this time the Georgia House speaker to push for a ‘special session to overturn’ Democrat Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in the state.
Georgia House Speaker David Ralston, now passed, did not convene a special session of the state legislature, as Trump demanded.
A juror who heard the call told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the Speaker “basically cut the president off. He said, ‘I will do everything in my power that I think is appropriate.’ “
The audio is the third such recording of a Trump call to Georgia officials that is under investigation.
