If (one) of your New Year’s resolutions is to live more sustainably, we have a tip for you.

Brightly has done some of the work for us, with curated products to help eliminate waste, plastic and even cut down on beauty discards (ie. reusable Bamboo Charcoal Makeup Remover Pads.)

  1. Stasher bags.

You’ve probably already heard about these; the reusable silicone storage bags which can be used for food storage, snacks, travel, and more. Brightly has a Stasher set which includes two sandwich bags and one snack bag for $36. Yes, it’s an expensive outlay but they really last and it’s keeping plastics like Ziplock bags out of landfills. Easily washable (use the top rack) they’re perfect for leftovers. We’re slowly replacing all our Tupperware with Stasher bags.

2. Reusable Bowl Covers.

Instead of tin foil or plastic wrap, swap for these reusable fabric bowl covers. There’s an adjustable elastic cord for a secure fit and they’re machine washable. Set of 3 for $25. We already bought a second set for when one is in the wash.

The Brightly site has more ideas of how to be eco-conscious, such as composting, but we’re not there yet! Maybe next year…
