An Ohio man who posted that COVID was ‘hype’ in a Facebook post, and grumpily updated his progress on social media has died from COVID-19.
An outspoken Trump supporter, Richard Rose wrote on Facebook: ‘Let make this clear. I’m not buying a f**king mask. I’ve made it this far by not buying into that damn hype.’ A few days later he experienced symptoms and tested positive for COVID, writing ‘I’ve been very sick the past few days. I just want to feel good again!’
Two days later the army veteran was dead.
Meanwhile, on Friday Ohio reported a single-day record of 1,525 new coronavirus cases.
