As bombs fall around them, and the temperature dipped below zero, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra played on in Maidan Square, calling it a “concert for peace.”

 

Nationally televised, it the once again a sign of the strength and resistance of the Ukrainian people.

“We are showing our strength through music,” said Louri Loutsenko, a senior adviser to the academy’s president.
