Though Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers have pushed anti-LGBTQ laws and Disney is stuck in a messy legal battle with DeSantis after the company opposed legislation nicknamed ‘Don’t Say Gay,’ Mickey Mouse’s company is promoting ‘Gay Days’ at the park.
Earlier, the Human Rights Campaign — the largest LGBTQ rights organization in the U.S. — issued a travel and relocation warning for the Sate but the Gay Days organizers are still encouraging visitors to come to the celebrations.
“Right now is not the time to run. It’s not the time to go away,” said Joseph Clark, CEO of Gay Days inc. “It’s time to show we are here, we are queer and we aren’t going anywhere.”
Expecting over 150,000 visitors to the events, you can look forward to pool parties, If the hoped-for 150,000 or more visitors come to the half-week of pool parties, thrill rides, and drag bingo.
