Trump’s lawyers have pushed to delay the Jan. 6 trial until April 2026, after he finishes campaigning in next year’s presidential election.
Citing an ‘overwhelming amount of evidence, they maintain that it would take them ‘years’ to prepare.
Naturally, Trump wants to delay a trial until after the election, when he or another Republican might drop the prosecution…And Trump could pardon himself, something the Founding Fathers never considered.
But for the GA. STATE case, a President can not pardon themselves, only for Federal cases.
