To commemorate World AIDS Day, Sunday Dec. 1st, and as part of (RED)’s new holiday campaigns, DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES this weekend went on for 24 hours to launch a Global Dance Party. The party kicked off in Sydney at Stereosonic dance music festival with DJs Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Afrojack, followed by a DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES party presented by (BELVEDERE) RED at Marquee in New York City, featuring DJ sets by DJ Mark Ronson.
The world’s biggest DJs including Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Afrojack converged in Sydney, Australia for a superstar DJ line-up at Stereosonic Sydney.
Empire of the Sun, Tommy Trash, Axwell, Above & Beyond, Bingo Players and more joined the A-list line up for the live stream support of (RED), founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver and the DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES2 new compilation album. Guests including Naomi Campbell and fashion designer Zac Posen were in attendance together. Both were seen together and were seen rocking out to Armin Van Buuren’s set.
Following the festivities in Sydney, Mark Ronson joined forces with (BELVEDERE)RED as part of their 24-hour Global Dance Party Dance (RED) SAVES LIVES in New York City at the legendary Marquee Nightclub on Saturday night Nov. 30th. Key guests including Sean Lennon were in attendance.
Mark Ronson attended a meet & greet with select media, guests, and fans before he hit the decks around 1AM playing his signature open format tunes, which included his hit single “Valerie” featuring Amy Winehouse as well as the best hip hop jams to closing the night with 80s dance tracks. Marquee was illuminated with red lights and featured the special edition bottles of (BELVEDERE)RED in which 50% of the profits goes to the Global Fund to fight AIDS and is available worldwide throughout the holiday season. Special cocktails made with (BELVEDERE)RED were available throughout the night.
The ultimate soundtrack to this year’s World AIDS Day weekend celebrations, the DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES2 is a compilation featuring the world’s hottest dance artists including Avicii, deadmau5, Major Lazer, Martin Solveig and Swedish House Mafia. The compilation also features remixes of Robin Thicke and Katy Perry. Less that a week after its release, the new DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES2 album has gone #1 on the dance charts in more than 20 countries.
