No surprise here.

It was a circus Friday at the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial on Friday when Donald Trump angrily stormed out of court and the judge told his lawyer to ‘sit down’ at one point and later warned lawyer Alina Habba she was close to ‘spending time in lockup’.

The judge later told Habba: ‘It is established and you will not quarrel with me.’

In her closing statement, Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan explained why she asked for an eight-figure sum in damages for defamation; $12 million for damages to her client’s reputation, another $12 million for the emotional harm caused, and more in punitive damages.

As she told the court: ‘It will take an unusually high punitive damages award to stop Donald Trump. The one thing that Donald Trump cares about is money.’
