Cory Booker had just started his intro at the second Democratic debate when loud chanting broke out, drowning out his speech. CNN moderators asked him to stand by while the protestors were removed.

What was that about?

It was a group of enraged citizens calling for the New York police officer who killed a black man, Eric Garner, by an illegal chokehold, to be fired. Hecklers aimed their anger at New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, yelling ‘Fire Pantaleo!’ Eric Garner gasped ‘ I can’t breath’ 11 times while being choked before he collapsed, but on Tuesday Federal prosecutors decided not to pursue charges against the police officer.
