A weatherman was live on-air reporting on Hurricane Helene in Atlanta when he heard a woman screaming.

After Fox Weather meteorologist Bob Van Dillen saw the woman trapped in her car is rising flood waters he quickly called 911 but after a few minutes had passed, he handed off his mic and waded into the dangerous waters.

Van Dillen was able to rescue the woman from her car and carry her to safety — just as the fire trucks pulled up.

“Her husband picked her up, and she’s all good,” Van Dillen said.

Meanwhile, Helene has been downgraded from a Category 4 hurricane to a tropical storm, but the National Hurricane Center warned it will likely bring “catastrophic and potentially life-threatening” flooding to Georgia.
