In the latest episode of the reality show known as Trump VS Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the duo revealed that the White House threatened to reveal the hosts’ relationship to each to the National Enquirer tabloid unless they gave the President more favorable coverage.
Scarborough said on Friday’s program that three senior White House officials told him, ‘If you call the president up and you apologize for your coverage, then he will pick up the phone and basically spike this story.
‘The response was like, are you kidding me?’
Brzezinski says they decided, ‘Screw it, let them run it…We’re not calling.’
Of course,Trump took to Twitter to rant:
‘Watched low rated @Morning Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.’
