Shocking the country, President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, using as an excuse his mishandling of the Hillary Clinton emails, though he certainly didn’t seem to have a problem with it at the time, because it was one of the key factors that swept him into office.

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host joked “That’s kind of like OJ firing Judge Ito half way through the trial.”

“He fired the director of the FBI, while the director was investigating [Trump’s] people and possible collusion with Russia,” Kimmel said at the top of Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, incredulous over the situation.

Getting serious again, momentarily, Kimmel pointed out: “This is unbelievable. This is the kind of thing dictators do.”

Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew G. McCabe is now serving as Director following Comey’s dismissal.
