As various states open up, crowds more people are packing beaches, restaurants, salons, and gyms. Not so fast, says Dr. Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, who estimates that one hundred thousand more Americans will die from coronavirus by September, doubling the country’s current death toll.

‘We right now have about 800 to 1,000 Americans dying from coronavirus each day. If we don’t have any more spikes during summer… over the next three months, we’ll cross the 200,000 mark,’ he told NBC’s Today on Thursday.

Complicating matters is the President’s insistence that America open up quickly, sending the message that it’s safe to go back to work.

‘We still won’t be done. This pandemic is going to be with us until next spring when we have vaccine’ the expert added.

Keep that in mind when your friends invite you over for that beer-pong party.
