Friday, the Supreme Court upheld a federal law that rejected a gun rights group argument that the prohibition violated the Second Amendment and upheld the law that keeps guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.

Chief Justice John Roberts said the court had “no trouble” agreeing that an individual who poses a threat can be denied access to weapons.

“Our tradition of firearm regulation allows the government to disarm individuals who present a credible threat to the physical safety of others,” Roberts wrote.

For now, the landmark ruling by the US Supreme Court decision is safe.
