More than 1,700 Southwest flights were delayed Tuesday morning after a system-wide computer glitch grounded planes.

Many planes were already on the tarmac so passengers were trapped.

The nationwide stop started around 9:45 am and lasted for more than an hour as frustrated passengers complained on social media.

This comes just four months after a similar Southwest system outage resulted in 16,000 flights being canceled, and left more than 1,762 delays even after this software issue was resolved.
