The White House announced on Thursday morning that President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 but is experiencing ‘very mild’ symptoms and is working from the residence.

‘This morning, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19. He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms,’ said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

‘He has begun taking Paxlovid. Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time.’

First lady Dr. Biden, who tested negative, said: ‘He’s doing fine, he’s feeling good.’

Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the president’s physician, said Biden had a runny nose and dry cough and that he expects the president to respond well to the anti-viral drug Paxlovid.
