The Republican National Convention opens Monday with dueling marches on the streets of Cleveland.
Police are mobilized in case of violence and mass arrests.
The first group, of Donald Trump supporters, has a permit to take over the official parade route under the banner “America First.” Organizers said on their permit application that they expected up to 5,000 people but so far only 200 people have showed up. some 200 people were at the rally Monday morning, some toting guns.
Unfortunately, the Cleveland police union’s call for the suspension of open-carry gun laws during the RNC was turned down, meaning some protestors are carrying guns.
