A colorful row of tents fill the street in the financial hub of Hong Kong, as students continue to demonstrate.

The protest in Hong Kong that started peacefully three weeks ago now shows signs of spiraling out of control, as police try to clear key streets and clear out the student protesters. As the students continue to fight for greater democracy, the government agreed to negotiate with students, though many believe that officials won’t be able  to resolve the issues at hand.

This now marks the largest uprising since the former British colony returned to Chinese control 17 years ago.
