“Debris from a Chinese rocket is expected to fall back to Earth in an uncontrolled re-entry this weekend.’

Nothing to worry about, right?

The Chinese rocket called the ‘Long March 5B Rocket’ is rocketing towards earth and experts say it could crash down this weekend. Since China’s space agency won’t say if the rocket is being controlled, or if it will make an uncontrolled descent, where it might hit is anyone’s guess.

While much of the speeding rocket will burn up upon re-entry, there will still be debris that will hit the earth.

In a worst-case scenario, the US could shoot down the rocket as it enters the lower atmosphere.

“We’re hopeful that it will land in a place where it won’t harm anyone,” US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said. “Hopefully in the ocean, or someplace like that.”

Hopefully.
