The women behind the #MeToo movement have been named Time Person of the Year.

Time Magazine has recognized the ‘Silence Breakers’ behind the #metoo movement as Time’s Person of the Year.

Time Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal called the movement ‘the fastest moving social change we’ve seen in decades.’ Photographed on the cover are Ashley Judd and singer Taylor Swift, plus field worker Isabel Pascual and former Uber employee Susan Fowler. Pictured in front is Adama Iwu who created the campaign and on the very right, a hospital worker who asked not to be identified.

As is tradition, the cover was revealed on the ‘Today Show’ just one week after host Matt Lauer was fired for sexual harassment.
