‘Icon of The Seas,’ the world’s biggest cruise ship has completed construction at a shipyard in Finland and is now getting its sea legs in Ocean trials. Capable of carrying 7,600 passengers and costing more than 2 BILLION, Royal Caribbean plans to start taking bookings in 2024.

It boasts the largest waterpark at sea, an 155ft waterfall inside a vast geodesic dome, the world’s first swim-up bar at sea, and an infinity pool suspended over the ocean. The company is billing it as the ‘best of every vacation,’ from a beach retreat to the resort escape and the theme park adventure, to adult-only pools. With 20 decks and eight neighborhoods to explore, there’s something for everyone, says Royal Caribbean.

Cruisers will be able to choose from 28 different cabin types with the Ultimate Family Townhouse spanning three decks complete with a slide, white picket fence and mailbox.

Infinite Balcony rooms will feature a retractable window turning floor-to-ceiling glass into a balcony and new Sunset Corner Suites will enjoy vast terraces overlooking the rear of the ship.

The ship promises more than 40 ways to dine, drink and be entertained, many of which are included in the cruise fare.

The new ship will also be the line’s most environmentally-friendly, it’s first with fuel cell technology and powered by liquefied natural gas. No word yet on pricing.
