Bust cellulite and tan, too!
VersaSpa offers a wide range of tanning products that create a gradual tan and benefit skin as well. The products feature eco-certified tanning ingredients with marine algae that firm, detoxify and hydrate skin. They are also gluten-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, nut-free, vegan and non-comedogenic—good to know and good for you. (The active ingredients Registrill, Darutoside and Granactive Retinoid help, fade the appearance of stretch marks, reduce inflammation and prevent future stretch marks while building your tan.)
I tried the LipoTan body self-tan tightening crème ($84.00 for 5.1 oz /150 mL bottle) and the BoTan facial self-tan nectar ($84.00 for 1.7 oz/50 mL) and was pleasantly surprised at how it made my skin feel and the gradual tan I’ve built on my legs and face.
The color is natural and is not streaky or blotchy. I apply it like a lotion and rub it in thoroughly on my legs—the color is light then builds as you apply. LipoTan has ingredients that claim to reduce the visibility of cellulite by impeding the fat cells’ ability to expand.
I can’t really tell if it’s busting cellulite, but the skin does feel firmer, and the lotion is creamy and feels rich on the skin. After day five, I had a rich-looking natural tan. I also used it on my arms and chest.
The BoTan facial self-tan nectar feels like a creamy serum when you apply it—best in the morning and evening before moisturizer. The color is more subtle—would like it a bit darker. BoTan also claims to be a “clinical strength photoaging treatment” that helps blur fine lines and wrinkles. Not sure on that claim, but it does feel hydrating. And it’s a safe—albeit a little pricey–way to get a sunless tan that looks natural and feels good on the skin, too.
