Our ‘Awwww pic of the day.’ Arnold Schwazenegger took his teenager son to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, where judging by their smiles, they enjoyed some good old-fashioned father son bonding.
The former California governor shared this sweet Instagram photo for his son’s birthday, which shows the two wearing lederhosen and holding steins of beer.
“Happy birthday, Joseph,” the 69-year-old actor and politician wrote. “Great student, great athlete. I’m proud of you and I love you!”
As many remember, Joseph is Schwarzenegger son with the family housekeeper, whom he had an affair with while still married to Maria Shriver.
In an interview with Howard Stern, Schwarzenegger revealed that it was a tough situation for everyone in his family:
“He’s terrific and he totally understands the situation and all that,” the actor said. “It’s a very tough situation for him. It’s a very tough situation for my kids, very tough situation for my family. It’s tough for everybody. But it has happened and now we have to figure it out, right?”
