Buy a candle, save the world. Well, not exactly, but if you buy a luxurious Starling candle, you will help LIGHT the world since the line helps provide solar energy to impoverished communities around the world.

Founder, 28 year-old Sterling McDavid, left a lucrative career in finance as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York to create the line of sophisticated home candles, called the  The Starling Project. In her first year, Sterling has already donated over $100,000 to UNICEF to fund a solar energy panel in Chad. Pretty impressive.

Sterling took her experience working with UNICEF to bring the company to life, and was awarded NextGen Champion for Children Award earlier this year at the 2nd annual UNICEF Children’s First Gala for her dedication to helping children globally.

All the sophisticated Starling Project candles are hand poured in Brooklyn (with American hand blown glass and cotton wicks) supporting U.S. business while also helping those around world. Global ingredients found within Starling Project candles are sourced from cruelty free vendors in keeping with its commitment to protecting human rights. Available for $55 and available in Juniper + Saffron & Vanilla + Hemlock and  Currant + Rosewood and Orange + Amber scents, it’s hard to pick our favorite.

The collection can currently be purchased online at https://starlingproject.org/.
