Investigators have discovered that the Vegas killer, Stephen Paddock, had booked two rooms at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago, across the street from Grant Park which overlooks the Lollapalooza festival grounds. 400,000 concert goers attend that festival each year. Following the pattern in Vegas, Paddock would have had a similar view of the concert as he did in Las Vegas during the Route 91 Harvest country music festival on Sunday. NBC News is reporting that he also researched possible locations in Boston as well.
