Rocker John Mellencamp paused his concert in New Jersey to mock Trump’s idea of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
In the middle of his hit, Pink Houses, Mellencamp paused and sarcastically questioned the proposed name change, calling it “a stupid f***ing idea.”
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has dismissed the renaming effort, asserting that the Gulf of Mexico has held its name since the 17th century.
