This week rapper Megan Thee Stallion was nominated for six awards for this year’s MTV VMAs, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Hip Hop (for her and Cardi B’s six-time platinum hit, “WAP.” ) Megan is also nominated for Artist of the Year and is double-nominated in the Best Hip Hop category for her song with Lil Baby, “On Me (Remix).”
If that weren’t enough, the 26-year-old singer is the cover girl for Essence magazine, channeling old Hollywood glamour with her platinum hair and glamorous outfits.
In talking about her next record she mused:
“Every time I make a move, I’m like, ‘Okay, how can we be better than Megan last month?’” the rapper said. “How can we be better than Megan last year?”
We’ll have to wait to hear more.
