I think we can all agree that this is Taylor Swift’s year . Not only did she score a #1 record but she was also nominated this morning for the Grammy Record of the Year (along with Iggy Azalea, Sia, Sam Smith, and Meghan Trainor.)
She also made Billboard’s 2014 Woman of the Year cover, the music industry’s ‘Bible.’
And I think we also can agree that her fresh-faced make-up look is always perfect.
We quizzed her make-up artist for the BB shoot, Brett Freedman, how he gets her icy blues to pop.
According to Freedman: “I wanted to give Taylor a soft smoked eye with very defined lashes. I used Kevyn Aucoin’s The Volume mascara in Rich Pitch Black. I did a whopping four coats on top and bottom. Love the narrow brush, gets every hair with precision.”
That’s good enough for us. Adding it to our holiday list.
Kevyn Aucoin’s ‘The Volume Mascara’ retails for $28 at Nordstroms.
