When wildlife workers found a two-month-old cub in Los Padres National Forest that had been separated from its mother, they rushed it to the San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Center.

The rescuers donned bear suits to take care of the little guy, and though they would never fool a human, the cub bonded quickly.

The idea is that the baby bear won’t bond with humans, so he could be reintroduced into the wild.

The team reports he is happy and thriving.
