Local shelters and rescue groups on the ground have been working overtime to rescue pets left behind by their owners. The best way to help? Donate to one of the local rescues.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville is moving animals to higher ground and saving animals left on porches and tied up in backyard cages.  The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has a disaster response team on site and their boats, disaster relief trailers, and supplies to help in the flooded areas.

Harvey’s Heroes Dog Rescue is also saving pets locally so donate if you can.
