‘Hidden Figures’ blasted into the top spot at the box office this past weekend, earning more than 20 million, and soaring past ‘La La Land.’
Taken from the biography of the same name, it stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae whose characters deal with racism and sexism as they work on the mathematical calculations to get astronaut John Glenn into orbit and back again.
